Football: $395 (NEW Players +$70 Jersey Rental (one-time fee)

Medical Release Forms (please note that 2025 rules state that medical forms MUST be stamped by the Doctors office AND with a Doctors signature (BOTH are required if you use the leagues form or it will not be valid) If you use the hospitals form, a stamp or signature is required.)

* ALL PLAYERS WITH SMYFC MUST have their medical waivers uploaded by 7/1/25.

Please note:  Each team is only allowed 35 players on a roster.  We are anticipating registrations for some of the teams to eclipse this number.  If your players team is one that is affected by a large number of sign ups, unfortunately we will have to cut the roster down to 35 players.  The first 2 weeks of practice will serve as tryouts, then cuts will be made immediately following.  With the exception of personalized items, refunds will be given to anyone who does not make the final roster.

REFUND POLICY

SMYFC Refund Policy

A full refund of registration dues will be given before July 1, 2025.

50% refund will be given until the last day of the first week of practice.

0% (NO) refund will be given AFTER August 6, 2025.

No refunds on any equipment/gear after July 1, 2025.

No refunds (EVER) on any personalized equipment.

WHAT TO EXPECT OF FOOTBALL

Practices for football are held 5 days a week. Full participation is expected from all players during the season so please plan your vacations accordingly.

Once school starts, practices will be 2-3 days a week, see your coach for details.

Games are played on Saturday or Sundays from August - Mid November (including holiday weekends)

FOOTBALL GEAR

SMYFC will provide the following:
*game pants
*helmet
*shoulder pads
*knee pads for game pants

$300 refundable deposit check is required at equipment handout.

What YOU need:
*home and away game jersey's (purchased through SMYFC at Registration with a $70 One-Time Fee)
*San Marin gear bag (optional but highly recommended purchased at Registration)
*white practice jersey (purchased at T&B sports San Rafael)
*cleats
*white padded practice pants
*integrated padded girdle (hip, butt, thigh pads) (for games)
*mouth guard
*game socks

Optional accessories: gloves, arm pads, towel, back protector, etc.

Scholarship Information & Requirements

Please follow the registration link to apply. SMYFC scholarships will cover 50% of Football and/or Cheer registration payment. You will need to upload your first 2 pages of your most recent 1040 tax returns, so please have them prepared in order to proceed.  For the  season we are providing three football scholarships and three cheer scholarships.  These will be first come, first served, so please gather your paperwork and be prepared to pay 50% of registration fees prior to registering. Only those who provide the appropriate paperwork and 50% payment up front will be considered. If you are denied the scholarship, you will be expected to pay the remaining balance or risk losing your roster spot.

The San Marin Youth Football & Cheer Scholarship Assistance Program focuses on providing opportunities for youth in our community to participate in football & cheer for the physical, mental, and character-training benefits our program can provide. SMYFC provides registration fee scholarships to these youth who, without financial assistance, would not be able to play.

Please be aware that SMYFC is a non-profit organization that relies primarily on our fundraising to support our program, including our ability to provide scholarships. The goal of our Scholarship Assistance Program is to help as many young people in need participate in SMYFC that we possibly can. 

Awards of assistance are NOT guaranteed to every applicant, and must be reconsidered each season.

Requirements for eligibility:

  • Child must be age 14 or younger.
  • Commitment to attend a minimum of 80% of scheduled practices and games. Failure to do so will disqualify you from future scholarship consideration.
  • Participation by a family member in volunteer opportunities of at least sixteen hours (16) during the scholarship season. Failure to do so will disqualify you from future scholarship consideration.
  • Application must be completed by a parent, guardian, or head of household.
  • Proof of income is required, including most recent federal income tax return (First 2 pages of your 1040). Incomplete applications will not be considered.
  • 50% registration payment up front, failure to do so will disqualify the applicant from consideration.
  • Complete all of the required paperwork, if there is missing paperwork we will not consider your application.
  • SMYFC will be providing 3 football and 3 cheer scholarships.

The Financial Committee will review your application and determine if you qualify for an award. Any false or misleading information will be grounds for automatic disqualification of registration awards, and no future awards will be considered for that applicant. Any information that you are required to provide will be kept confidential within the Board of Directors.

***Approval process of a scholarship does not guarantee the scholarship approval from SMYFC. If you do not qualify, you will be responsible for the full registration fee.
